Winter Sowing for Beginners: A Hands-On Class at the Library
Curious about starting your garden early—without grow lights or fancy equipment? Join Gail Tomassetti, a retired construction worker who discovered the winter sowing method during covid, at the library for a beginner-friendly Winter Sowing class! This hands-on workshop will introduce you to a simple, low-cost method of seed starting using recycled containers and the power of the winter weather. You'll learn: What winter sowing is and why it works, which seeds are best suited for this method, how to prepare and label your containers, tips for transplanting in the spring.

Participants will go home with their own planted container ready to set outside and sprout naturally. All materials will be provided. No gardening experience necessary—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to get your hands a little dirty!
