WIHD Assistive Technology Loan Program for Seniors

The Westchester Institute for Human Development (WIHD) is one of the "Tech Act" sites in New York State funded by the TRAID Program and provides device demonstrations, referrals, and equipment loans to seniors and their caregivers.  WIHD will bring a variety of devices, such as mobility devices, visual and hearing supports, daily living supports, some recreation items and more, to be considered as people age.  This will be a dynamic and interactive program, allowing participants to try the devices.  WIHD will discuss the differences of each device, where to purchase, pricing, and the dreaded insurance rules, etc.

This program is co-sponsored with the Hudson Valley Hospital Center and Hendrick Hudson Free Library.
