Outdoors on the Library Lawn.
For over ten years, Rip and the Sleepy Hollow Boys have been the area's quintessential Americana band and educators. Drawing from the rich and deep musical and lyrical traditions of country, bluegrass and blues, the songs they play -- both originals and others -- represent the best of neo-traditional roots music.
Rip and the Sleepy Hollow boys are Rich O'Hanley -- lead vocals (because he knows the words to all the songs), guitar and mandolin; John Doe --- guitar and vocals; and Buddy Coughlin -- bass and vocals. Rip, a true mountain tenor, is sleeping it off somewhere after a night of bowling and beer.
The Boys are able to pass along the legends, the lore and the history of the music they love to play. Possessing encyclopedic knowledge, they are eager to share it with audiences young and old.
In case of inclement weather, concert will be in our Constance Dyckman Community Room.
