In this four-week class (February 22; March 1, 8, 15), Mareesa Nicosia, certified Kripalu yoga instructor, returns to the library with a slow flow yoga class designed to keep you moving through the winter. In this beginner-friendly class, you will build strength and flexibility, energize your nervous system, and have some fun at the same time! Teaching will focus on breathwork, fine-tuning alignment, and taking care of your joints in cold weather. Yoga blocks and straps will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. Chairs are also available for support and stability in balancing poses. Mareesa offers lots of modifications to support you, so you can dial the intensity of your practice up or down, depending on your individual needs and level of experience.
