Self-portraits can be traced back to ancient times, though they became most prevalent in the early Renaissance period. This lecture led by Mallory Mortillaro, art historian and lecturer, explores several famous artists' self-portraits as participants learn and consider the following: What does an artist's self-portrait say about the time in which they lived, the style in which they painted, and most importantly, how they viewed themselves?
