Aging in Place Assistive Tech Devices

Westchester Institute for Human Development will display their devices in our 2nd Floor Corridor, Conference Room and Patron Lounge.

The Westchester Institute for Human Development (WIHD) is one of the "Tech Act" sites in New York State funded by the TRAID Program and provides device demonstrations, referrals, and equipment loans to seniors and their caregivers. Join Beth Heyd, a representative of WIHD, will bring a variety of devices, such as mobility devices, visual and hearing supports, daily living supports, some recreation items and more, to be considered as people age.  This will be interactive, allowing participants to try the devices.  WIHD will discuss the differences of each device, where to purchase, pricing, and the dreaded insurance rules, etc.  No registration required.
